Hey girls, hope I didnt miss much but after being sick for over a week..started high fever over weekend with non stop vomiting...even though nothing there to vomit. I went to dr monday, went through hours of waiting/tests etc while in excruciating pain..went in hospital with acute gallbladder. I had to have iv antibiotics for couple days first, finally they removed it on wednesday. I have suffered with a poor gall bladder though off and on for years..actually since 1999 according ot records the doctor had of my first hepatobiliary scan. They kept it in because I had no stones even though it kept making me sick. I was so grateful this one yanked it out. I got the scope type one thank God since other one is a huge incision. Painful but with just lorcet pain pill its tolerable. I will only be on very short spans to check email and try my best to read here. I have only just finished my online bills payments and just 8 of my 134 emails waiting for me (most are jokes from friends)..and this note. I am now going to lay down lol..its hell getting old but I don't liek the alternative just yet Laughing

Thanks everyone Smile. I haven't been feeling up to sitting at my desk much yet so have mostly attended to bare necessities.
I realized I never said what my youngest son did for me that was so sweet..esp for a 16yr old. I Knew my 3 lil babies would be totally confused as we had never been apart for more than a few hrs. You can't explain to them either. I was fretful about Lucy mostly because she is my very timid momma baby girl. My son told me not to worry about them that he and his cat Lex would take care of them. He promised me he would sleep with them while I was away. Talk about making you want to cry..but tbh, was trying to figure out where he would put them cause he is 6ft tall in a twin bunk lol. But he said they fit themselves around him only when lights when out. Before that, they had not moved from rugs in kitchen by the doors.
Lucy has stuck to me even more like glue since but have to tell ya the 3of them gave me one heck of a welcome home. Poor Teddy got so excited I thought at first his trachea collapsed...he tends to make weird noises and worry his is bit weak...he couldn't make any noise except a low sounding squeek. I was so so sick the week before, they didnt get their daily brushing. Now, oiy..am working on Teddy slowly to get his brushed down and out. He is a bit of a sissy baby with brushing on his legs lol.
Lucys wasnt bad at all and GiGi's grows so slowww and is such a tight curl..she brushed out like normal but fell asleep in my lap while I brushed her cause she loves it so much.
I use to get over surgery fairly good but at 52, just take a bit longer to pop back. I have made the mistake of watching almost all food network.
I am craving something, or think I am , so therefore cooking what I am watching. Family loving it, altho I do prep and tell sons how to stand and cook since Can't stand that long..they still love the results lol. Meanwhile, I still feel like I am craving something.
Made creamed spinach last night for first time topped with those fried crunchy onions...they LOVED it.
Recipe called for frozen spinach...had told them if no frozen to go ahead and get the fresh cause I could blanche it as was still plenty of time. Being boys..they brought home 6 cans cause they couldn't find either of the two...at a super walmart LOL. Would of had bit more texture with the frozen but I love the taste of canned spinach as they do too. So maybe for us the canned worked out better. It was hard as heck tho to drain every bit of liquid from it.
They grilled out steaks..had lovely baked potatoes. I ate entire baked potato and some the spinach. Ate one bite of steak and it seemed salty to me but my taste buds have been all over the place. They weren't unhappy though as they haven't a problem eating wwhat is left on my plate for me lol.
Hope everyone and their fur babies are doing well, hopefully feel well enough to stay around longer..huggles Smile

Glad it turned out well. Take it easy and don't overdo. Lots of lap sitting with furry babies ought to make you feel better.
