Since our petco horrendous day...have gotten 8 ppl who all of a sudden know a lady right in my town (petco is 45 miles one way from me)..doh. They didnt remember when I was fussing about the long ride..being disabled is so hard to ride that long..some of you here are in same boat. I am seriously thinking of just learning to do most of it myself. Doubt I will ever be able to do the nails but our vet charges nothing if you are in for another thing anyways and only 6 dollars otherwise. I was a nurse for 27 yrs but to this day..cannot stand the sound of any file or grinding noise and dislike nails in general lol. I know odd, but even when working in the emergency dept..I Would take on all the blood and guts but just let some poor guy come in from his work with a fudged up nail and I Crumbled lol.

Sasha, It's really not hard, Well for basic puppy type clips, I'm talking mostly all one length, Not doing a lot of scissoring, Nothing fancy. Might be worth getting a good clipper, Probably find one on E-Bay.

WIth having 3 of them..think I am going to try that. I Think once I get more confident..they will relax more too. Plus, I can always either take to that lady to fix them..or let it grow out where my boo boos are till I learn.
SOmeone on here posted videos of clippings. I Would love to see one though of facial clipping and feet.
ALso mine are bad about standing against my chest when I try to do it too. Do you have the table and leads set up?

No Sasha, I do all my dogs during the summer time at my picinic table, They have been going thru this for so long they just stand nice.
In the winter it's on an end table in my den.
I have a turn table for the tv I'm not using that could be turned into a grooming table, Like I think it was Harleys Mom suggested.

Good video of the face: http://www.ehow.com/video_2348284_poodle-dog-grooming-face-shaving.html
