First off - LOVE your dogs. I love partis - and your's are so cute!
Phoebe came to me about seven months old. She was 2 in April. i started her with foundation training almost from the moment she walked in the door. She's a very nervous dog so that is where we spend most of our time working! _________________ Mighty Mite dog Gear! Little Dogs Think Big! |

We have our ups and downs. Last weekend, I took her to another facility that she had never been to in Southern NJ for a match show they were putting on - the combination of new equipment and new people proved too much for her - she kept zoning out on me. It's going to be an uphill climb - pun intended! _________________ Mighty Mite dog Gear! Little Dogs Think Big! |

The main thing is to have fun! He's got a long career ahead of him, you don't want to burn him out by making showing stressful for him.
He needs to be able to stand (relatively) still while someone examimes him, and to allow the judge to open his mouth and feel his testicles, so make sure he's used to that. He needs to be able to walk nicely on leash.
I believe Bulldogs can be examined on a ramp, so if you can find someone who has one, or can build one yourself, it's a good idea to practice having him walk up it and be examined. Otherwise practice the examination on a grooming table, as well as on the floor.
